Pamela James is a writer extraordinaire and the creative force behind the award-winning children’s book The Orange and Ginger Soapy Shampoo, A Bubble’s Story. As the founder of Caterpillar Butterfly LLC, Pamela has dedicated her life to creating joyful, imaginative, and empowering content for children and families everywhere.
Born with Cerebral Palsy and a speech impediment, Pamela discovered early on that while her body had limits, her imagination did not. Reading became her superpower—an open door to every world, voice, and possibility. “I could speak fluently in my head,” she recalls, and that inner fluency sparked a lifelong love affair with stories, language, and art.
Pamela has always dreamed of speaking every language on Earth—including Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, Farsi, and yes—even Klingon—just so she can tell knock-knock jokes in every tongue!
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Communications from Bloomfield College and a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. Founding her own children’s book publishing boutique is not just a career move—it’s the natural evolution of a life shaped by perseverance, imagination, and purpose. Through Caterpillar Butterfly LLC, Pamela is on a mission to inspire, uplift, and sprinkle joy—one story at a time.
